Policies & FAQ

Policies and Frequently Asked Questions

This is a small independently run business. To protect myself while making sure you are as happy as possible with your purchase I have written a detailed outline of our policies on this page. I urge you to read through them carefully before making your purchase so that you have a clear understanding of these shop policies. Once you have purchased your item(s) I can only assume that you have read and understood the shop policies and you will essentially be entered into a contract with me upon your order.

Returns and exchange details
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of a lot of my work, I do not typically accept returns or refunds. Although I am confident you will love your new piece of jewelry, please think very carefully and read through the listing details thoroughly before buying! Stay informed by reading through my shop policies and contact me with any questions you have about an item.
  • On rare occasions I may accept returns in exchange for shop credit. You are required to pay for shipping back and if the original item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
  • In certain instances exchanges are accepted. On occasion I have had to exchange items where customers have been mistaken about what size they need. If there is an issue with the size and it is not a one of a kind piece, the item can be exchanged for the same item in the correct size.  You are required to pay for shipping and if the original item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
  • If you purchase a one of a kind piece and request it to be resized it is an automatic $100 fee. You are also responsible for shipping. Making a ring larger is a little easier than making it smaller. Making a ring band smaller requires removing stones and dismantling an entire piece. It requires a great amount of labor and time. Depending on the complexity of the band or how many sizes you need to go up or down, this fee can be more. This is why I recommend taking measurements before making your purchase of items such as rings. I do have ring sizers available in the shop!
  • I reserve the right to refuse resizing certain rings. Some designs would require completely taking apart work and will warp the materials and design in attempting to resize. This is very rare but in certain instances I would like to protect the integrity of a design that took me many hours, days, and weeks to fabricate than scrap and rebuild the entire piece. It may sound silly but I am a big believer in the stones and energy in my work being drawn to who needs it; certain rings may be destined for another finger. If a one of a kind ring is a size that will not fit you please reach out to me about a potential future custom where we can make something similar and perhaps even more special because we can customize it and make it to your specifications!
  • If an exchange is a must you are required to pay for shipping back to me and return shipping. If the original item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Payment
We accept payment with credit cards and debit cards. Please make sure the address associated with your payment method is up to date.
We accept payment through Paypal.
We do not accept checks as a form of payment.

Deposits
If you see a piece that you love but isn't quite in your budget I can do deposits and/or payment plans! An initial 50% nonrefundable deposit is required because I am holding the piece for you and taking it off the market for purchase by others. After the first deposit I request at least one payment per month but it can be completely flexible with your budget as long as you communicate with me. You don't need to limit to one deposit per month and can choose to put money down weekly or biweekly. We will stay in contact throughout your purchase and make it run as smoothly as possible so you can get your dream jewels as soon as possible!

**IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON PAYMENT PLANS**
I am completely understanding that life circumstances or budgets may change and I'm more than happy to work with you in adjusting payment due dates or the amount for deposits as long as you keep in communication with me and keep me in the loop. Failure to coordinate a change in payments, keep me updated, or avoiding/not responding to my messages will result in the removal of reserved item so it can be relisted for other buyers after 2 MONTHS of no communication or payments. If a deposit has already been put down and you do not respond to any messages or repeatedly avoid the agreed upon payments YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSITS. This is to fairly recoup any loses to my shop from holding an item that you did not follow through on purchasing, and therefore prevented me from selling to other interested buyers resulting in a loss of sales and income. This is a small business and we are very dependent on the sales we make because we have bills to pay too! Thank you for reading through the rules, understanding, and cooperating!

Shipping
  • Orders in stock:
In stock and ready to ship items will be shipped within 1-3 business days after payment is received.
  • Made to Order:
Once payment is received I will begin fabrication. Because this is a unique item made from scratch it can take between 1-4 weeks to complete! The item(s) will be shipped when complete.
  • Pre-Orders:
Pre-Order items are pieces we regularly make and carry but have recently sold out of. Due to their popularity we provide the option to pre-order so customers can receive them as soon as they are back in stock. Once payment is received there is an estimated 4-6 week processing time to cover how long it could take to fabricate and restock, but likely items will ship earlier.
  • Custom Orders:
Since all custom requests are different it can take as little as a few weeks to as much as several months to complete certain pieces depending on the intricacies. Designing, acquiring particular stones and materials, and fabrication all take time. I will try to provide the best estimate I can but please be patient! Don't hesitate to message me about your piece and ask for any updates or photos of the work in progress. If you change your mind and edits need to be made to the piece this will require additional work time so it could take even longer.

US customers can typically expect to receive orders within 2-5 days once the order has been marked as shipped. Depending on the time of year (holidays) it can vary by a few days. USPS can also be delayed because of the current pandemic.
International customers I no longer accept international orders through my website but I can accommodate you on Etsy. If there is an item you see listed on my site but not on Etsy, please reach out and I can add it for you. International customers can typically expect to receive orders within 10 days - 1 month once the order has shipped, but sometimes longer. The time frame is very dependent on your country's unique custom laws. If you are an international buyer do not ask me to mark items at a lesser value than it is worth. This is a finable offense of $500 or more. If you request this I may cancel your order.

Please educate yourself on the shipping options available. USPS ground advantage services includes tracking and $100 insurance automatically, but you can request to pay for additional insurance. USPS Priority also includes $100 of insurance. You can contact me to add additional insurance. Please understand if you decline to add this service and your package is lost, stolen, or damaged due to USPS or other factors out of my control, I am not responsible.

Holidays and other deadlines
Please think ahead when making holiday or gift orders - I will do everything in my power to get them to you right away but read through my policies and consider how long fabrication and shipping can take. The earlier you order the better! It is rare, but sometimes there can be unforeseen issues that are completely out of my control (ie. inclement weather, power outages, family emergencies, waiting on supply vendors, etc) but in any such case I will update you to let you know what is going on and get your order out as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Additional policies and FAQs
Please be aware: every single one of my pieces - even designs I carry regularly - are completely unique. This is because every piece is made by hand from scratch. I cast many of my designs using organic materials from nature. This is why no two items will be alike and will slightly differ from one piece to the next. Although I always try to depict my product as clearly as possible in photos, you may notice a few details will vary: the texture of bone might be different, stones might be slightly lighter or darker and have different variations of flash or color, etc. If anything, it makes your piece completely one of a kind and distinctly special! If you are looking for a stone with a particular flash or clarity please message me before you make your purchase - we can discuss what you're looking for and can even show you what I have available.

Care Instructions
As with any handmade adornment, please remember to take special care of your new jewels! Almost all of my pieces have a special darkened patina on the surface. I polish and protect the surface with Renaissance Wax; a semi-synthetic micro-crystalline fossil-origin wax that is free of damaging acids. It is a moisture-resistant protective coating that prevents corrosion and tarnishing. It is natural and normal for the oils in your skin to naturally wear on jewelry and its patina with long term wear though. You can do your part to help keep the patina intact by taking extra love and care in your piece: store them carefully or wrap in a piece of cloth when not wearing. I also recommend you avoid leaving jewelry in direct sunlight, wearing your jewelry while bathing, washing dishes, showering, or swimming in a chlorinated pool. These activities can damage softer stones or pearls. These activities will damage resin. Be considerate of what could affect the patina and your jewels should do just fine. I personally love the natural wear on an item because it shows how much a piece of jewelry has been worn and loved, but in the event you feel bothered by some cosmetic issue such as patina wearing off I can reapply it. In such instances I will charge a $30 labor fee and you are responsible to pay for shipping and return shipping.

Customs and Personalized Items

I am not currently accepting customs. I will announce when customs are open. Spots are very limited so claim them while they are available. Use the email/contact form to reach out to me with any questions.

Exchanges (Custom Work)
With any custom work that is made to certain specifications (ie. rings) please make sure you give me the correct size. On occasion I have had to resize items where customers have been mistaken about what size they need. If this happens, you are required to pay for shipping back to me and return shipping. Resizing is a minimum $100 fee. It can be more depending on the complexity of the band If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Deposits (Custom Work):
$100 nonrefundable deposit is required before fabrication on any custom project begins. This helps me purchase initial materials and begin work on your design!
*The remainder of payment is due upon completion*
You can schedule regular deposits weekly or monthly as I fabricate your piece so that the final balance is quick and easy to pay!
A rough estimate of the price can be provided for custom work based on initial design/material requests that are made and agreed upon. If other requests are made to change the design or add other materials (i.e. stones, silver, rose gold, etc.) additional fees will be added to compensate for my time and those materials. Designing and fabricating can take many hours of work! If all of this sounds too complicated you can also utilize the ShopPay app at check out to split payments up and pay installments easily.

Wholesale availability
  • I require at least 50% for wholesale orders.
  • I have done consignment on occasion as well.
